I don't use this feature so I am only guessing...
But most players, and the OBS app itself, only play back a single audio track at a time. If you're getting game audio and commentary muxed together in your replays, it's because it is muxed in your recording. I think if you assign different devices to different tracks, or at least have your muxed track not be the 1st track, you can solve this.
Try putting only game audio in track 1, commentary in track 2, and both together in track 3. Set track 3 to be streamed (if you're streaming) and tracks 1, 2 and 3 to record.
I think in this case the replay buffer will have all 3 tracks, but when you play back the media in OBS it should default to Track 1.
