Replacing background on livestream

I'm new to OBS but trying to figure it out. I want to livestream on Stripchat (thus I am not using Zoom) but I want to remove/replace the background behind me when I am on cam. I don't want to hang a green sheet behind me just to disguise the clutter of the room. I tried adding a background video on a loop setting to the Sources and have it on the bottom of list but it doesn't show as a background on my stream. Please help. Thanks!

You can hang anything behind you to disguise the clutter of the room, but to use it with the chroma key filter in OBS to remove the background, it needs to be a single color with proper lighting, so it can be filtered by that filter.

Thanks for the reply. My question might not have ben worded right. What I want to do is have a background (still image or looped video) instead of what is behind me and just have me over top of it. But without using any kind of "green screen" type of equipment. Have seen it done (I think maybe with Zoom?) and while the edges of the person were not really crisp or smooth it still did the job. Thanks again for any help/advice, I am new to all of this and figuring it all out.

What GPU do you have, if it's an RTX card you can utilise Nvidia Broadcasts background removal. Requires no green screen element.

Not saying it's great... but it's an option.
