Removing audio track completely

Howdy all. Long time OBS user, first time poster. I've always tried to solve issues by browsing the forums, and up until now i've had great success. I've run across a new one. The few posts i've found didn't seem to be related. My apoligies if this was addressed before and my search terms just didn't narrow it down properly.
Here's the skinny on my workflow. I don't stream. I record video, a 1 hour show specifically, which is the video version of a podcast. The podcast is recorded to a dedicated computer into a multitrack audio recorder. My dedicated OBS machine records cameras and audio direct from the mixer. I then edit, and post the video to youtube. I recently changed our workflow (an AHA moment) when I realized i'm recording a high quality audio track on my DAW, so why not start clicking in the video on OBS and just recording video with OBS, mating it with the audio on the other computer, and using that. So, I began trying to disable OBS from recording the audio track. Mostly just to try and save file size during recording I guess, secondly to save a step to have to remove an empty audio track in my video editing suite. For the life of me, I can't seem to get OBS to NOT record an audio track. I am assuming it's impossible, as I've disabled all audio sources in scenes, muted everything, but when I go and disable the last track, I hit a brick wall. Is this where it ends? Is there no way to disable OBS from recording an audio track with the video? Or is there something stupid simple I am missing? I've had several comments on another forum saying this is accomplished by muting the audio. And while, yes, that doesnt record audio, it still attaches an audio track to the video. I'm trying to just output a video file with no audio. Is this in vain? Thank you in advance for any suggestions.
