I don't believe engineering tasks can be performed remotely on OBS, unless you use tools like TeamViewer, but I may be wrong. Controlling scene switching can be done, have a look at this thread. https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/obs-remote-control.129148/. Companion Satellite can also work for remote control production.
