Recordings stutter on playback

I've been having an issue where playback of a recording are extremely choppy and out of sync.

My system specs:

Amd 5950X
Evga 3090 FTW

Output Mode: Advanced
Recording Format: Mkv
Video Encoder: Nvidia NVEC H.264
Audio Encoder: FFmpeg AAC
Preset: Slowest

Base Resolution: 2560x1440
Output Resolution: 2560x1440

Process Priority: Above Normal

You need to revert some of the advanced encoder settings you did change from the default. May be they're too resource intensive for the requested resolution.
As alternative, do Tools > Auto configuration wizard. After that, adjust the quality by choosing an appropriate quality setting, for example "indistinguishable quality" in Settings > Output > Recording.

In case you're capturing a game, make sure it has no unlimited fps. Activate its fps limiter to ensure it's not rendering more than your monitor fps. In case there's still lost frames, limit to 60 fps and see what happens.
