Hi,
I recently bought a new Macbook Pro with M1 Pro chip.
In the past, i was using a 2015 Macbook pro with Intel i7 processor to record my videos.
Im using an elgato HD60S+ capture card and recorded my videos with the elgato game capture software, but since this software isn't compatible with the M1 chip, i had to switch to OBS.
And heres the problem, all my recordings are now somewhat choppy and laggy.
I tried many different things, like reinstall OBS (multiple times), i tried all USB-C ports on the Macbook, i tried different USB-C cables, i switched out the HDMI cable from the console to the elgato, i tried different encoder settings in OBS, nothing seems to work.
I uploaded a sample to youtube, timestamps are in the description-box.
Im also adding a LOG file to this thread.
The weird thing is, the video on the preview screen is also choppy and laggy, it's not just visible in the actual recording...
On the TV everything is displayed really smooth and looks fine.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
Is it because OBS ist't fully compatible with apple silicone just yet?
What else could i try?
