Question / Help Recordings are very choppy

My OBS recordings are very choppy although while recording I don't have any problems. I want to make videos for Youtube but the recordings are unusuable.

Your Hardware is by far too weak.

Try using the Guide to achieve the best possible result but keep in mind that you wont really be able to record in a high resolution. Ideal would be the AMF Hardware Encoder if your mobile GPU supports it.

Possible could be QSV as well but chances are that Hardware encoder work best for you AMF/QSV

I have an HP Notebook laptop and, after following the guide you linked, I get 3 encoder settings:
-Software (x264)
-Software (x264 low CPU usage preset, increases file size)
-Hardware (QSV)

-Hardware (QSV)

In that case I would highly recommend testing QSV, because QSV will yield the best outcome with your Hardware.
