Hey there, so I would like to do the following:

  • Record gameplay footage with audio from OBS
  • Edit gameplay footage in Premiere Pro with other footage etc
  • Render/Encode
My OBS Recording settings are currently:
  • NVENC
  • CQP @ 20, High Quality Preset, 2pass
  • High profile
  • 1080p 60fps footage
  • 48khz audio
What is the best way to go about this to optimize render times and quality? I've seen a lot of talk about how Premiere doesn't like OBS' mp4 files so should I be recording to .flv and then remuxing? What's the optimal way of remuxing, is the built in OBS remux fine?

Premiere Pro (2015+) works without issue with the MP4 files OBS directly outputs, and remuxes to as well.

I would record in flv (if you have a single track of audio) or mkv (if you have multiple tracks), remux to mp4 and use in PPro.
