I want to be able to record a video of myself playing an instrument to a backing track.
I have a backing track as an MP3 that I want to capture, but play only through headphones connected to a mixer (i.e. I dont want the backing track playing through the PC speakers).
I have a mic connected to the same mixer that I want to record and I want to record the video from a webcam.
My sources are a video capture device for the web cam
a media source for the backing track
an audio input capture for the mic
Video, backing track and instrumnet are all recorded, but I have the following problems:
1. I need the backing track to start when I hit record (or optionally after a few seconds delay), at the moment it is constantly playing and so when I hit record I am half way through it
2. I can't hear the backing track through the headphones, so I can't play in tune with it :(
I have searched the forum and guides but can't find an answer, probably because I am searching for the wrong thing, I'm hoping this is possible but would appreciate any help or pointers to a guide/resource that might help get me round these two issues.
