Question / Help Recording stuck after a few minutes!

Yesterday I wanted to record Battlefield 1. After 15 minutes of recording, the video preview in OBS stuck but the recording kept going. (The audio parameters were not stuck.)
Then I wanted to stop the rec. but OBS didn't want to. It said "stopping recording" for like 5 minutes.
Then I closed OBS and the mp4 file was broken. (I recorded 3 audio tracks.)

That's not the first time for me to have such an error. Also had this problem once in Overwatch.

If sombody knows a solution, please let me know.

Thanks,
Samuel

That log file is incomplete as it doesn't not show a recording attempt or an error. Please follow these steps:
  1. Open OBS Studio.
  2. Start recording.
  3. Wait 30-60 seconds (or until the error happens).
  4. Stop recording.
  5. Upload the current log file.

Second, don't record directly to MP4. As you've noticed, if something interrupts the recording process, the MP4 will be useless afterward. If you're using single-track audio, record to FLV. If you're using multi-track audio, use MKV or another container that supports multi-track audio. You can remux the recorded files to MP4 later if you need that format (OBS Studio > File > Remux Recordings).

First of all thanks for the help!

Okay, so I followed all your steps.
After like 11min it stuck again.
Also I switched to mkv.

I suspected this might be the case. This is the Windows 10 Anniversary Update issue. You can read about it in this PSA sticky.
