Question / Help Recording Problems

Hello,
I am using obs for Mac (always the latest version)
I am trying to record a game called geometry dash

I have set all the video size to 1080p and 60fps and bitrate 24000 using the apple vt h264 encoder

When I play the game and recording the obs window says it is running at 60fps and I also play the game at 60fps but the mp4 that it recorded is very low quality with about 15fps...

Notes:

• I am using display capture instead of syphon inject and game capture
• My Mac is the basic late 2013 21.5 inch iMac ( Iris Pro Graphics ) (It can run some heavy games on high at 900p and it is recording everything perfect when using another recorder on windows via bootcamp including geometry dash with 60fps)

No reason to use the Apple VT encoder.

Like @Narcogen said, there's no reason to use the Apple VT encoder. It's basically a broken encoder, meant for testing. Better to use CRF and set the value from 15-23(lower=higher quality).

you mean x264?

He means use the x264 encoder and set the quality you want by adjusting the CRF value on the Output settings pane.
