Recording only shows half of what was recorded.

I was recording for roughly an hour and a half, yet when I review the recording it only shows ~45 minutes. Why might this be?

You overloaded your encoder pretty badly.
Relying on display capture coupled with the 2160p external display made the integrated graphics not happy.

What would the solution be to this? Would I have to reduce the resolution I record at?

You'd have to use window or game capture instead of display capture and run obs on the high performance graphics at minimum.
