Question / Help Recording not working!!! HELP!!

I am having a weird recording problem with OBS. When I record I get a good preview of my recording and I can see the game on OBS completely fine and it says its recording but when I stop the recording and try to play it back the entire recording is just a black screen with audio, when streaming the video is perfect it only happens when recording. I've tried recording and streaming and although you can see the game on the stream when I stop the recording the entire video is black.

If you can see the stream then the recording is most likely fine as well. Which media player are you using to play back the video? Have you tried VLC or MPC-HC? Those are two we usually recommend.

Wow that was fast! And thank you yes i just downloaded it and the video seems to be working fine now, but I still dont understand Ive been using OBS for months now and all of a sudden the videos are all black. But VLC seems to be working so thank you!

I have the same problem (vlc works) but I wanna edit the video and that doesn't work. plz help
