Question / Help Recording No Longer Working?

Long story short, when I attempt to record in OBS Studio, it is no longer saving files. If I press the "Start Recording" button, everything LOOKS like it's recording (the counter at bottom right next to CPU % is counting, and the button text changes to "Stop Recording". But then when I navigate to the record destination folder, no file exists. I even tried changing the record folder, and no dice.

Now I've made a few different changes since my last verified record a few days ago (like I duplicated a profile so that I could setup a new HD60 for console recording vs recording from a PC game), but I can't figure out what may have happened that the record function would no longer work. I went into the PC recording profile just to check, and that wasn't recording successfully, either.

Open to all ideas! Hoping I won't need to completely reinstall the program. If I do, wondering if I'll lose all my settings, scenes, and sources, or is there a way to preserve that? Hopefully I'm getting ahead of myself and it's a really simple fix :)

Thanks in advance!

Try to uncheck 'Use custom buffer size' in Settings>Output and see what happens (post a new log).

Tried that just now - didn't appear to help at first, then I rebooted the app and it worked! Thanks :)

May have spoken too soon. So I had that first success, then changed the record folder back to the destination I wanted. Tried another clip record and it only recorded maybe a millisecond of the 15-20 seconds I asked it to record. Then I tried another record and that didn't record at all.

Also went back to the original successful initial record, and the quality was complete junk; lots of encoding artifacts, etc.

Last time I have seen that error when encoder settings were out of encoder requirements. Try 'baseline' profile or 'high' instead of 'main' in x264 output settings, something changed?
