Question / Help Recording my screen / gameplay is a little choppy and not fluid

Hey everyone,

Bit of a strange one but when I record my gameplay locally (not streaming online) I get what can only be described as "a bit choppy". It's not over the top but I feel it's noticeable when I watch back recorded footage. I have toyed around with the settings (both NVENC H.264 and x264) but can't seem to fine tune it to feel smooth when watching the video back. Even at 2000 bitrate it doesn't feel smooth. Iv'e watched so many guides online and ready a few posts on the forums but can't seem to get it right.

The game it self runs at a static 60 Fps and I ensure vsync is enabled at all times, I feel my system is powerful enough to record at 1080p 60Fps but the footage when watching it feels more like 25? Especially when turning in a game.

I have attached a copy of my log file, hopefully it can help identify what I am doing wrong.

My System spec is:
I7 5820K - Clocked at 3.8 Ghz
24 Gb RAM DDR4 @ 2600 Mhz
Nvidia 1080 TI
Samsung NVME 960.

Thank you.

Provide a screenshot of the first tab of GPUZ

Also, bitrate has no bearing on encoder performance, only picture quality.

Switch your recording bitrate control to CQP/CRF (Depending on the encoder, CQP for nvenc, CRF for x264) with a CQP/CRF value of 14

And don't save directly to mp4
