Question / Help Recording live streams without lag

Hi,

My PC setup is:

CPU: AMD-A8-7670k
GPU: AMD Radeon (TM) R7 Graphics
RAM: DDR3 8G

When I tried to record someone else's live stream, it was laggy as hell.
Would I be able to record hd live streams without any lag at 1080p 30FPS by adding an external graphics card like GTX1050? Or is this some other issue?
