Recording laggy and choppy

I tried recording my playing of Ch 17 of "A Plague Tale" but the recording was laggy and choppy. Audio works fine

I don't know much about settings but its on default settings I believe.

Video bitrate is 2600 kbps
Audio bitrate is 160

Recording Quality is High Quality, Medium File Size
Recording format is mkv.
Encoder is Hardware (NVENC)

Changing Bitrate seemed to help a bit.

I tried changing some of the sources (and removed the game display) so i could add a timer to the recording but now the image has disappeared and I can't see anything in the display and recordings come out blank now. I removed it and re-added the game display but it still didnt show.

Will try uninstalling and reinstalling and see if that works.

Audio still works though

I got windows capture to work but not game capture
