I've been recording some games on my Mac and when I watch the video back, I see that OBS was not recording the whole screen. I searched through settings for about 15 minutes but couldn't find anything to fix this.

You can't fix it in the recordings, those are what they are.
Right click your capture source in your scene and choose "transform > fit to screen".
If that doesn't work, post a logfile.

Include a log file if you have a problem: here's how
To upload a log file, go to the Help menu -> Log Files -> Upload current/last log file. The current log file is for the currently active running session. The last log file is for the last time you ran the program. We recommend always including it just in case.
