Question / Help Recording in 240fps

Trying to record fortnite in 240fps.

I end up with stuttering footage when viewing afterwards.

I have an i5 8600k and a Gtx 1080.

Surely I should be able to record at this framerate.

I would then render this footage in 60fps and it would appear smoother.

no you shouldn't, what makes you think that?

that is a myth, you need good frame times and trying to record at 240 fps makes it worse, use vsync or limit your footage to 60 fps that will actually make it smooth.
