recording in 2 versions same time ! whereas I only want mpeg4

Hi, can you help me? When I record from my Sony camcorder (miniDv) I save the recording in two versions, namely mvk and mpeg-4 ,whereas I only want mpeg4 !
Also what do you recommend for a good recording (setting) because the colour is strong and a bit blurred.

See big warning in OBS Studio about NOT recording to MP4? don't ignore that. I don't assist those who insist on being foolish and ignore important warnings without understanding the implications

Record to MKV and auto-REMUX (in OBS Studio) to MP4 if need be. fragmented MP4 may be on option

Recommended settings depend on your hardware (exact/specifics). Best to start with Auto-settings, then increase quality metrics based on requirements and available performance

First of all I would like to point out that I am really a beginner, so forgive me... my difficulties in learning this wonderful software. I also solved the problem of ‘double’ recording. I had put the option in automatic to record in mvk and at the same time in mpeg ! So that's solved!
My desire is to record my old VHS , miniDV in the best possible way to digitise it all trying to have the best quality possible . To simplify I have the following equipment Sony Mini DV DCR-HC85E and a JVC HRJ672EU , and I use Windows 10.
I am also using the following equipment to send the signal to the computer:
Garpex® AV HDMI Converter - AV to HDMI - Wii HDMI Switch - 1080P Full HD
connected with the following
HDMI Game Capture Card - Video Capture - HDMI to USB C - 4k - 1080P HD
and in fact I get the video in OBS on my PC.
Are there any particular settings you can recommend for improvement? For example on the Garpex converter I have a switch 720p and 1080p ... which one should I use and in possible combination with which parameter in OBS?
