Recording game capture freezes within minutes of start of recording

I know there a few posts like this one but no one seems to have replied to any that i have checked so thought i would put mine out there...
Using the newest update (15th July 2024) but issue started over a month ago, running Win11.
When I start to record game play via a video capture card the video screen freezes within minutes ( record as of today is 2 mins in). the recording continues, recording sound but only a now still image instead of a moving video.
I have tried many different settings to try to stop this issue but nothing makes a difference. I am loosing hours of game play ( too busy making the content to pay attention to the recording screen every 30 seconds to make sure it is working) and i need to sort this out sooner than later. i love this program, it is easy to use and when it works, it is great, but this 'new' issue is a killer and i cant use obs as long as it continues.
Can anyone help?
Note: i have posted a couple of youtube vids about this issue if anyone needs to actually see the issue happening. ( not plugging my channel lol, but cant be hard to find)

A video is helpful when you can't explain in detail what is the issue.
What is really needed and should be the first thing you look for to upload/attach in this thread is:
And that's why there are pinned post.

in reply to the reply about posting videos showing the issue, i have made a video which is a collection of 2-3 events all showing the screen freeze, it is barely a minute long in total but your server wont let me upload it, so not sure what to do in that regard but as i said in my original post, i have uploaded two short vids on my you tube channel showing the issues ( and these were before i posted this and made more videos - yes this software is freezing that regularly now, even after the new update. )
i didnt want to seem like i was just plugging my (very small) YT channel so didnt give the links, but as i cant upload what you asked for i have had to resort to adding two links to two of my most recent 'issues with OBS' videos.
this is the best i can do i am afraid.
not sure what a video would show you either tbh, other than a scene of moving images which then freeze/ stop moving as though paused.
on one vid i could not upload, i actually catch it as it happens and deactivate the screen recorder, reactivate it and that works, for about a minute, then it freezes again.
More tech - my laptop is less than a year old, running win 11, fully upto date, whilst the obs is running it shows no more than 5% cpu usage at any time (max), there are no other programs running (other than usual win background 'noise') and the type of games i am recording are not graphically over complicated or fast - farming sim, snowrunner that kind of thing.
I tried dropping the fps to 30 and it actually froze faster than normal. I tried running slower recording but that just makes the cpu go through the roof and the recording laggy, and it freezes within minutes. I leave it at 'default' settings (60fps, fast etc etc) and the recording quality is great, no lag, but freezes anywhere from 2 minutes to 8-10 minutes in. It seems to freeze faster if i am 'stationary' or not doing anything for a minute or so (that is when i seem to not notice it the most as i move off in game but the recording remains still.)
I have read there is some form of obs log (?) created when recording, where is this because i will gladly copy that and post it here if that would help.
i am sorry for been so useless in my information, and for want of a better description - a complete noob - but that is why i am here, seeking help and advice.

ok, new update (0940 16/07/2020) i have found where the logs are, copied the file which i believe was my last crash, used the analyzer and it said about running as admin. i have now done this and will run a few more recordings. if it seems that may be the fix then awesome, if not, i will repost here and update again. fingers crossed.
