Recording from VCR - audio not detected?

Hi, I intend to copy my old VHS tapes to digital. I have a USB digital video adapter and it displays the video correctly but it doesn't seem to detect the audio input from the VCR?

Help would be greatly appreciated, I've read several previous threads in these forums and watched youtube videos but none of the fixes seem to help.

Thanks!

There's a better way to do this. Get a composite to HDMI adapter and then and then a capture device with HDMI in. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZC5Zr3NC2PY
Check for the device in Settings --> Audio --> Devices

1. Record to MKV instead of MP4
2. You are running the 32 bit version of OBS on a 64 bit system. This will reduce performance and greatly increase the risk of crashes due to memory limitations. You should only use the 32 bit version if you have a capture device that lacks 64 bit drivers. Please run OBS using the 64-bit shortcut.
3. Update your Windows 10 per https://obsproject.com/blog/five-simple-tips-for-new-streamers
4. Run OBS as Admin
