I've used OBS a few times in the past and I have recently been having trouble getting recording to work correctly. I'm just recording a video file and not streaming anything.
I have a Logitech C922 camera and want to record at 1920x1080 @ 30fps. I can configure it to get it to look okay, but even in the preview it just lags. Occasionally I can get it to be less laggy after configuring and restarting OBS, but I haven't been able to get the capture to fully work correctly. Either frames will disappear, the video will stop midway, the audio will lag, or the video will just be all around choppy.
In the past, I was able to get the preview to be more or less a mirror of what I was doing. If I waved my hand in front of the camera, it'd be the same action on screen in pretty much real time.
A few weeks ago, I got a new monitor and speakers. Could those actually cause problems? The monitor is an external one for my laptop. No other hardware changes were made.
As stated in the sticky, I have attached a log report.
