Question / Help Recording a separate section while streaming?

I don't really know where else to put this, so I'm asking it here (hope it's right, sorry if it's not).

I want to know if it's possible to record a section or a portion or a different output than the one I'm streaming. For instance my stream screen has my name, list of the music I'm listening to, and a portion of what I'm working on. I want to know if I can set up the recording to capture either a separate window (for speed paints/tuts I do), or just that portion of the drawing I'm currently doing, while I stream the other stuff I just listed.

I'm looking for a solution in OBS or a plugin, or separate software altogether. Just want to know if it's possible!

Thanks for any help, longtime user (since...v. 10 i think?) first time poster. Usually I find my answer via google, but alas, not today.

Recording of the Scenes not implemented yet (and maybe never be). Only recording Output is supported by now (v17.0.0). The Recording, Streaming and Replay Buffer uses Output for encoding (the size/resolution of the output may differ for streaming/recording).

You may run two instances of the OBS Studio portable mode and use x264 or different encoder, but many sources doesn't support simultaneous use.
