Question / Help Recorded video unavailable

Hello,

Long-story short my I fell asleep when I was recording something with OBS (Open Broadcast Software) and when I woke up I couldn't find the recording anywhere and there was no "Stop recording" button, the only available option was "Start recording" which would imply that the video has already been recorded and/or reached the limit and/or stopped recorded anyway. (Yes of course I checked the recycle bin, and yes of course I knew to click the "Start Recording" button because the last time stamp I remember when recording was 35:16.

Please PLEASE PLEASE help. This is an excruciatingly important recording and due to the circumstances of which this was made, I am unable to re-record it again. Otherwise I wouldn't be stressing out over it so much and I would just re-record it.

Once again PLEASE HELP.

Also thank you for your time and consideration as it is greatly appreciated,

Sincerely,

Space available for Recycle bin is 931 GB. Attached is the list of logs and the ones I highlighted are the timeframe of which it was recorded, tbh I'm not sure which one it is or if it is all of them. But the latest one which would be at 2:24PM is not what I'm trying to recover. That was just a quick test for myself to see if OBS itself would save the recordings. What should I do?

Show us more logs from the screenshot, mostly the "2017-12-27 04-49-01" log. It have bigger file size and possibly more information in it, then what you showed us so far.

I'm sorry, I'm not quite familiar with what it is that you're asking for specifically but attached here is the file you requested

==== Recording Start =========
[ffmpeg muxer: 'simple_file_output'] Writing file 'D:/Users/Justin Devons/Videos/2017-12-27 07-13-53.flv'...

So try to manually go there. Note that this is in a "D" drive letter.

Your first post's screenshot is at a wrong "Captures" folder.

If it were anywhere near there I'd obviously have seen it before entering the Captures folder. Please tell me that's not your only solution

You could go to file settings to show hidden files. You could search for this filename. If it is not there, it might not be recoverable, sorry.

The recorded: Total frames output: 107272... at 30fps this is 59 minutes.

You have to look at what happened 59 minutes after you started the recording.
If it wasn't you that stopped it 59 minutes after you started recording, there is a possibility that someone didn't like being recorded and went into your computer to stop and delete.

To make things harder to delete, you could create a private YouTube event to live stream there (avoid copyrighted music and stuff) or on other websites that supports private streams, then log out of web pages after stream started. Don't let web browsers save passwords.
