Question / Help Recorded video tests are smooth, but video lags!

Hi, I am new to OBS, and I thought I would try out recording Roblox and see if I can play it and do videos of it. I recorded the video, and it was smooth and not laggy at all, but the video is pretty laggy, I tested it a bit last night woth different settings, but I get the sane result, so I am not sure how to fix it!

I am basically asking 2 things:
1. How do I fix this problem?
2. What are the best settings for recording 720p video in 2018/going into 2019?

Current recording settings so far:

Your CPU is nowhere near powerfull enough to record x264 with OBS at all.
If you have QuickSync available, that might improve a little, but I honestly can't tell

I do, I am going to try that, but what settings would I have for QuickSync for a computer like mine?

Pretty much just leave everything at default, and set ratecontrol to VBR 20000 kbps, CQP 15 or something like that

20,000 bitrate is the bare minimum for high quality recordings. Streaming is a different matter.
As for CQP, there should be a dropdown for it (advanced mode)
If you are on simple mode, use "Indistinguishable quality" with Quicksync and you are good to go

I don't get it....you say the recorded video was not laggy but the video is laggy?
So you did this a few times and it was all smooth, but now it's getting laggy?

As "Zidakuh" already said, the N3710 is a low performance processor (usually used in budget notebooks) and not capable of 720p 30fps x264 encoding.

No, I said the game was smooth and fine while getting the recording, the video after the recording was laggy
