Recorded Video no Audio

So I record videos with the display capture feature of Obs studio but sometimes the video comes out without any audio, which is very unfortunate. I always use the same notebook and I don't really change the setting. So I don't know why some videos don't have any audio when my other recordings comes out with normal audio, it just happens suddenly. So I'm not sure if the audio is not recorded at all or if there is something wrong. Does anyone have any idee why this keeps happening or how it can be fixed. And is it possible to recover the audios of the already recorded videos?

What are you using for playback of the recorded videos? If you are using the default Windows "Movies and TV" media player, it is notorious for flaky codec support. Strongly recommend downloading VLC and using it for playback.

We would need to see the logfiles from the recordings in question, to tell further.

If you were using multi-track audio, you might try right-clicking the media while it's being played back, go to Audio, and select an alternate audio track.

If it truly wasn't recorded though, it wasn't recorded, and so cannot be retrieved.

Open VLC
Select Audio Tab/Audio Device and make sure it is the same as 'Decktop Audio' (or your 3rd party mixer)
