Try with downscaling your output to 1280*720p with 2000 bitrate
And use x264 encoder instead of quicksync.
Quicksync 4000kbps = x264 2500kbps

If I understand correctly, you are recording, not streaming right?
In that case, quicksync is the right choice, as you can simply increase the bitrate if needed. You might want to follow our guide on high quality recordings:
https://obsproject.com/forum/resour...lity-recording-and-multiple-audio-tracks.221/
QuickSync
  • Target Usage: quality (lower to balanced or speed if you encounter problems)
  • Profile: high
  • Rate Control: CQP / ICQ or LA_ICQ
  • on CQP: QPI/QPP/QPB: 15-25
  • on ICQ: ICQ Quality: 15-25
  • on LA_ICQ: ICQ Quality: 15-25, Lookahead Depth: 40-50
If you keep having problems, post a log file, that will give us more info on why its lagging for example. Downscaling might not be necessary, but that depends on your Hardware setup, without a log I cannot say it for sure.
