Question / Help Recorded a video while out of memory

Hello everyone is there a way to recover a video while it was recorded out of memory ? It still has 25gb worth of data in it i just can't play it i was wondering if i could salvage some of the video. I tried vlc and it wouldn't work :(

Unfortunately recording directly to MP4 will corrupt the file if the recording doesn't finish correctly. Record to FLV or MKV to avoid this, you can convert FLV or MKV to MP4 afterwards using File / Remux recordings.

Yes, while OBS Studio is a lot better in properly closing MP4 Files on crashing it can still happen. I switched to MKV and remux afterwards because Movie Studio (13) doesn't "do" MKV. It adds an extra step, but it's better than losing your footage.
