Record Single Video Feed with 3 Separate Audio Tracks and Export as Individual Files

Hi everyone,

I'm new to OBS Studio and currently evaluating it for a specific use case.

We have one video feed coming in, along with three separate microphone inputs (currently wired, but we plan to use the DJI Mic 2 system in the near future).

What I need is the ability to record the same video feed once, but with each microphone's audio saved as a separate file — so that, at the end of a session, I can export three video files. Each video should have the same footage, but with a different judge's commentary as the only audio track.

I'm trying to avoid doing this in post-production as that would be too time-consuming. I don't need OBS to render the final files during the session — I'm happy to export them afterward — but the goal is to avoid manually syncing or editing afterward.

Is this something OBS can handle, possibly by assigning each audio input to a different track and then exporting each as a separate video?

Appreciate any guidance or plugin suggestions!

Thanks in advance!

Sounds like you're re-encoding in post, why?

Record as you are now, with the separate audio tracks.

Import to the recording to Avidemux, trim if desired. (Make all cuts on Keyframes so you can remux).

Now , remux the file 3x with the audio track of choice. Should take about 3 minutes.

Hi @rockbottom

Thanks for the idea and I think I found a solution.

Thanks for the tip! We ended up using FFmpeg with a batch script that adds a bit of padding and mixes the judge’s voice with the original video audio. It outputs all 3 versions automatically — no manual editing needed. Super efficient.

Appreciate the help!
