I've tried googling for the answer to this and I get forum posts from 2013. I have installed the latest OBS (20.1.1, win7x64) and the forum answers refer to things that apparently no longer exist. I've looked through the "guides" section of these forums and not found an answer.
I want to record (not stream) a couple of games. I have a 1920x1080 monitor. I run the games in windowed mode 1600x900 -- I don't want to alt-tab constantly.
Is it possible for OBS to capture the game window and >save< the result at the window resolution of 1600x900? I've gone through options, settings, filters and regardless of what I do the saved video is always 1920x1080. If I could figure that out I could then scale and save at 1/2 the window resolution since editing with Nero gets very slow at larger resolutions.
I've probably missed something obvious but I cannot find an option to (I guess) set the output canvas to match the window that I want to record. The only options I see are 1920x1080 or 1280x720.
