Question / Help Record game and face cam separately

Hello guys!I am in the need of help here!

I want to record games that have an important HUD such as the time in FNAF 4(top right).

Honestly,my face cam is also on the top right.

SO I want to add some action to my face cam where it will slide down to let viewers see the time(in an editor,ok?)

The question is,can I record my game and my face cam at the same time, separately so that it will appear as two files:face cam and gameplay?Or do I need to use Quicktime to record my face and OBS to record gameplay?

Hmm. If you have the CPU power, try running TWO instances of OBS.

  1. Open Terminal
  2. Type /Applications/OBS.app/Contents/MacOS/OBS &
  3. Use the second instance to record to disk the second feed and put it together in post-production.

The same settings. It just runs a second instance on the machine. Like running two instances of your browser. Same settings.

Or another workaround, easier but needs editing skills.

1.Record normally,with the face cam.
2.Make a copy of the recording.
3.Pick between 2 of them to be the "sacrifice",meaning that I crop it until the webcam is only visible.
4.Merge the "sacrifice" and the normal recording.

Maybe it will cause double sounds....
