I do most of my heavy duty streaming at home on my desktop.
However for events and competitions I don't (and can't) carry around a desktop tower to events.
Mainly when i'm streaming at events I'm capturing from arcade boards or Retro consoles (mainly 8 and 16 bit era consoles, rarely PSX + PS2)
I already have SD and HD capture cards, webcams and mics but I was wondering what's the cheapest setup I can get away with that's a laptop. For competitions I would also have 2-3 HD webcams connected for player reactions and commentators.
I was originally looking at something like this as a laptop strictly to use as a teamviewer client https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIABE576Y4866 before purchasing I thought I could use a portable streaming set up also. I don't know how much processing power is needed for encoding, And most of the time the laptop will just be sitting there doing nothing. So I want to be as budget as possible Any suggestions? Do I even need a bump up from that machine?
