Recently, OBS to Facebook live very laggy. Why?

Hello. I've been using OBS studio to stream to FB for over a year, and recently (for a few weeks now) when I use OBS studio to stream to Facebook live, it is very laggy (unbearable) and the recorded video also shows it. I'm streaming in 720p @ 30fps (actually was using higher months ago), and I didn't increase any specifications. I wonder why this is happening. I've always used the same wifi connection for 2-3 years, always in the same place in the house.
I've had to change to going live directly on FB and they don't let me download so good video. I have no problem in the video transmission if it's directly on FB.
Any hints? Thanks in advance!

Be a little more clear
- are you streaming AND recording locally with OBS? or is the recording you are referring to the recording in FB Video library?
- If a local recording is laggy, then your PC is the issue. IF a local recording is fine, and livestream is not, then the network is the issue

And any number of reasons WiFi used to work for you, and now doesn't (especially is you are in a more urban area with neighbors within WiFi range). Hence why recommendation is, unless you REALLY know what you are doing, and have proper monitoring in place, not to use WiFi for livestreaming. And using a wired connection is ALWAYS a first troubleshooting step if you ignore the the prior rule.

If livestreaming works fine via a browser and direct access to locally attached camera, then it would appear NOT to be network or your PC, but instead your OBS settings

Thanks for the hints, @Lawrence_SoCal.
I'll aim at being more specific:
i) am streaming from OBS studio to FB Live and recording locally. Both transmission and recording are laggy, hence I wouldn't suspect the Wifi
ii) at this time, have no alternative to WiFi as the computer (which is a I7 core, 1y.old) has no ethernet

I also suspect it could be a question of OBS settings, and would like some help to go live at 720p @30fps (or less if you'd advise).

Thanks!

You almost ALWAYS can go wired... you may just need to get a USB to Ethernet adapter.. but at this point issue appears to be elsewhere, so reasonable to hold off on the adapter (cheap at $10-15 for a decent one)
