Question / Help Recent lagging Issues with OBS - Having trouble to diagnose it

Hi There,

I'm having issues with recent lagging issues with OBS.

Recently (probably about last 2-3 weeks) the stream has been laggy for a period of time. It seems to happen for the first half hour before picking up again. But I've been unable to identify why.

I have a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014), with 2.6 GHz Intel Core i5, 8 GB DDR & Intel Iris 1536MB. My stream setup is an Elgato HD60S either attached into a Raspberry PI 3 or a Nintendo Switch. My typical stream setup (that worked for about a year) is I run Game Capture HD into a local RTMP server, and then capture the video capture as a Media source into OBS, which streams along with a ~6-7 overlays (Twitch Alerts/Webcam/a few graphics). I then stream from OBS to Twitch.

For around a year it worked fine, but recently it's been really laggy. I did some research and increased the bitrate (to take CPU power away from my admittedly old laptop), and that seemed to work okay for a stream on Sunday Morning - (this logfile: https://gist.github.com/rhyswynne/655f0d658b4c23a20d0f5223efe7e537). However streaming last night the stream effectively was laggy and jittery - https://gist.github.com/rhyswynne/8e533c172d443720c09c03b57f240fd4. I didn't get an Encoding Overload beyond a second (which usually happens when I go live).

No real visible programs running on the laptop beyond FireFox with the Twitch Dashboard open so I can watch chat. I tend to before streaming power off and power on the Mac as well.

I've previously tried switching to OBS Link to take out Game Capture HD & RTMP. However that had audio being cut out at random times, as well as having a slight 0.5 delay in the audio from what I could see.

Happy to take screenshots etc. Of anything.
