Really struggling streaming on YouTube with new laptop

Hello,

I'm setting up a new laptop (Lenovo 5i (i5 with 8gb RAM, Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti) plus a Logitech C930e webcam and having massive problems with pixellation when streaming to YouTube. It seems so much harder than when I used my old Macbook which just seemed to work with no pixellation!

Anyway, I won't bore you with the settings as I've tried that many different combinations, including settings recommended for NVENC, I've lost the plot, so I was wondering if someone could advise on what settings they would recommend. Even just using the basic 720p/30 settings like i did on the macbook hasn't helped. Recording works fine by the way.

Please post a log with your issue! Here's how...

OBS Studio creates a log file each time you run it which contains very useful diagnostic information. Without a log file, it's much harder for any support volunteers to figure out problems and your post may be ignored. To upload a log file, go to the Help menu > Log Files > Upload Last Log...

As @qhobbes just noted on another thread

1. In many cases, wireless connections can cause issues because of their unstable nature. Streaming really requires a stable connection. Often wireless connections are fine, but if you have problems, the first troubleshooting step would be to switch to wired. We highly recommend streaming on wired connections.

so, hopefully you have a docking station or USB adapter with a wired Ethernet connection option to troubleshoot with. Even if you used WiFi with the Mac, this is still an important troubleshooting step. If WiFi is a cause of your problem, don't take that to mean a Mac superiority situation ... lots of possible reasons for an issue, and Apple known (specially regarding WiFi & DHCP) to not follow standards to help itself out, and mess up the whole rest of the environment in the process
