Bug Report Re-sizing OBS window in Linux Mint

I wanted to post this problem as a Bug for version 20.1.0

Re-sizing the OBS window in Linux Mint 18.2 does not work. To be specific, it does not refresh the re-sized window. Please see the attached files that illustrate the problem.

If I run 'Windowed Projector' everything works and re-sizes properly. Running the projector truggers it to refresh correctly.

I hope this bug is an easy fix. Can anyone else re-produce this?

I tried this again on another computer that does not have a DeckLink mini recorder (video capture card), and again same refresh problem. See the attached image (it is also running Linux Mint 18.2)

Thanks

It seems like this bug was already fixed in version 18.0

Linux-specific Changes
  • Fixed a bug where main preview would not resize properly when window is resized
However, the problem is back in version 20.1.0

New version is great. However, version 21.0 still has this bug.
Re-sizing the OBS window in Linux Mint does not work unless the 'Windowed Projector' is activated.

Hey. Can you post your obs log and some info about your system? WM, xserver version etc.

I always had it working just fine on latest gnome. So initially i tend to think it something related to your system libs

Hello, thank you for your reply. I am beginning to think that I am the only one with this issue. Attached is my OBS log, I started OBS and re-sized the window and then quit. Let me know what you think.

Thanks

Hello, shaolin, because of your post, i upgraded my x.server version and rebooted and:
problem SOLVED!
no more issues when re-sizing the window. Thank you for the guidance.
I went from version: 1.18.4 to version: 1.19.5
(I also ran this line: sudo apt-get install ffmpeg)
then re-booted, and problem solved!)
Thank you
