Question / Help Random System Freezes when Streaming w/ Avermedia LGP

Hi All,

Long time user of OBS, first-time poster.

I hope you can help. I'm using an Avermedia Live Gamer Portable and recently I've been receiving system freezes (screens blackout with audio coming through for a short time before that cuts off) and I'm forced to restart the computer using the Restart Button on my case. I originally had this issue a while back where it would happen even if I streamed PC games (any pc games) but after I formatted my computer, cleaned the internals and reapplied new thermal paste (its been years) I was able to stream again perfectly fine. The problem started again when I began using the Avermedia.

The stream crashes at random times. It could be within minutes to a few hours.

I originally thought it was my RAM, so I purchased another 16GB and replaced it, then I thought it was my GPU and replaced my GTX 780 to the GTX1070 TI. it didn't help.

Here are my PC Specs:
  • i7-4930K 3.4GHz
  • Corsair H100i
  • Asus Sabertooth X79
  • 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866
  • GTX 1070 TI
  • Samsung 840 EVO 250GB
  • Western Digital - 1TB - 3 TB - 3TB
  • Corsair 1200W
  • Asus PB278Q 27.0" (Display Port) - AOC 21" (DVI)
I've completed several tests to see what the issue could be but I can't put my finger on it. This now only occurs when streaming Console (PS3 and PS4)

  • Unplugging all USB devices except for Mouse, KB and Capture Card.
  • Used a friends Avermedia LGP (the same model, I bought the same one after he did) (Freezes)
  • Uninstalled Nvidia Drivers using DDU (Freezes)
  • Moved GPU into another PCI-e Lane, Secondary lane (Freezes)
  • Used Nvenc (New) and x264 (Freezes)
  • Used Streamlabs OBS (Freezes)
  • Streamed at lower bitrates (Freezes)
  • Streamed at lower resolutions (720p below), (Freezes)
  • Re-installed OBS (Freezes)
  • Streamed PC games only w/ no Avermedia Device connected (PC does not freeze at all)
Currently, I am using Xsplit and it's been running okay for 3 Hours although this was the same with OBS, the timings are random from what I can see. I'll add an update whether if that freezes.

I've attached a Log of my recent crash in hopes you can decipher what's going on. There is an interesting couple of line right at the bottom that a google search didn't help with.

Also, something unrelated to my issues here but where is the resolution at 720x480? Every source is showing 1280x780.

I've also looked in Event Viewer and noticed the below
DistrubitedCOM, Event ID: 10010

"The server Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager_10.0.17763.1_neutral_neutral_cw5n1h2txyewy!App.AppXryc2qd338f5728r9gzzazav8206ba77s.mca did not register with DCOM within the required timeout."

I did look into this and disabled Distrubited COMs using this YT video in hope it helps! but in the meantime I hope you guys can help as well!

Thanks, everyone!
