Hi all so ill start with the specs;

Gaming PC;

Intel i5 7500

Gigabyte B250-HD3P

8GB Corsair Vengeance LPX

Sound Blaster z

Nvidia 760GTX Windforce OC

Stream PC;

AMD FX6100 Now Standard Clock as overheated at 3.8ghz

Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P

12Gb MIx but 2x 4GB Ballistic ram 1 x 4gb generic

Nvidia 8800GTX oc edition

Avermedia C985 Capture card

Streaming using OBS at 720p 60fps have tried 30fps too, 5mbs bitrate, London server as thats best server streaming to Twitch.tv, the problem im having is that the stream over on Twitch seems to be having framerate issues it dose not drop frames on OBS or stutter at all on the preview window at all. Sometimes get some in game lag on the gaming pc but that is usually the way with games. The game im playing is Rust which did have set to the highest setting as it runs fine couple glitches but nothing too bad, but using a 2nd pc I wouldnt think correct me if im wrong that the graphics im playing the game at would affect the stream as its on a separate pc. What would be causing the random drops on the stream? Also im using a bush 24" tv as the monitor so not sure if that matters which is currently set to 50hz was at 30hz can do 60hz but sometimes goes weird when first turned on. Hope someone can help thanks.

You need a better GPU in your streaming PC. OBS uses certain GPU features (unlike most alternative software) that makes it run faster, and as such it doesn't run well if your GPU is too old. That GPU is too old. You really need something from the GTX 400 generation or newer, and the second digit needs to be at least a 5, to have good performance. I.e. GTX 560 good, GTX 280 bad, GTX 750 good, GTX 630 bad.

If you're going to buy something new, get a GTX 1050.

And all this said, you should post an OBS log file from your attempt regardless.

Ok cheers for the reply ok yea sounds like that is the issue is 11 year old gpu that I had to oven bake to get back to life again, was going to be upgrading my gpu in my gaming pc so i could put the 760gtx into the streaming pc saves buying 2 gpus then.
Edit: Ill get a log soon as OBS decides to open.

Stats look good actually. You might try swapping video cards and try running a game that a GTX 8800 can handle (CS... Quake 1/2?) easily and see if the problem still happens when the 760 is in the encoding PC, and then swap them back again and test again. If it doesn't perform better when the 760 is in the streaming computer it could be something else wrong.

Thats good and yea could try that the only thing is swapping drivers to get the cards to work on the different pcs, but yea might be worth a try. The only thing is wouldnt that be a unfair test as using a less intensive game might help but then again does that actually make any difference on 2 systems.
Also on a different note is it worth me running my gaming pc through my mixer or is it worth running a 3.5mm cable from output to the input on the capture card.

Today I set OBS to 50fps on 720p to see if that helps with CPU usage and i streamed a different type of stream where I used full face cam and then after 30 mins played GTA V on my gaming rig as a little box in the corner. The Stream seemed to of stayed at a consistent frame rate. Could it be Rust that was causing the issue or just like you say needs a gpu upgrade.
