Question / Help Ran out of disk space while recording, way to recover recording

I know running out of disk space is an idiotic error, however obs didn't notify that i ran out of disk space and said it was still recording. Is there a way to recover these recordings? (a very fucking awesome moment happened and i'm quite pissed)

If you recorded in the MP4 format, then the file might be lost.

If the file is fine, but it stops before the moment of awesome, then it's lost (unless you were streaming someplace and grab the file from there, or had a backup recording rolling somewhere else).

ah ok. i'm so salty right now, why didn't obs just notify me there wasn't more disk space :'(

Because it has no way of anticipating how much space it will need.
