Question / Help Radeon HD 7990 OBS Multiplatform Crash on launch

I get a crash as soon as I open the application. I just installed the appropriate drivers to get my card working. The non-multiplatform OBS works like a charm. I'd like to keep using what I've got with MP though. Thanks for taking a look!

The crash happens in the atidxx32.dll, so apparently in your GPU driver. My first recommendation would be to check that you have the latest WDM driver installed, not a beta driver.
A quick google search revealed that people were able to fix a problem with the mentioned dll file in other programs/software by reinstalling the drivers.

Thanks for the reply. Forgive me for my poor Google-fu. Could you instruct me on how to check my WDM driver/update it? Or could you point me to an instructable?

Thanks again for the help.

I have the latest beta drivers on R9270 and using OBS MP with no problem. But 7990 has a different GCN architecture so it might be causing a driver related problem as well.

@DJ Muffin Crumbs Just install the non-beta driver and see if that fixes the problem ;)

Hey thanks to you two that have given your input here. I've only recently gotten this card working so There's been a lot of bugs to tweak out obviously, but it seems the latest uninstall/reinstall has resolved the issue for now. I wish there was a more firm resolution process I could post here in the event someone else has a similar issue... But yeah... Just uninstalling and reinstalling the video drivers a few times... a couple of resets and GG.

Thanks again!

Please use Display Driver Uninstaller to remove the gpu driver. It will be much more healthier. If you haven't tried it yet, please do.
