Question / Help QuickTime Videos Cause Slow Down?

I recently found I could use QuickTime transparent videos in OBS/OBS Studio however I have noticed a 10 to 15 frame drop when I turn on the video. There aren't any forums about this so I figured I'd ask here. Does QuickTime transparent videos slow down performance or is there a possible work around (not using a green background to then chroma key out).

I take it no one has experience using QuickTime videos in the Media browser plugin? Damn.
