Hi there,
I just got myself a video capture device for composite input to capture some NES footage.
Sadly, in OBS 23.1 for OSX the device is not listed under the available Video Capture Device (only the FaceCam is on my MBP).
The device is USB2, is recognized as follow in the system:
> Product ID: 0x5124
> Vendor ID: 0xeb1a (Empia Technology, Inc.)
> Version: 1.00
> Serial Number: USB2.0 VIDBOX FW
> Speed: Up to 480 Mb/sec
> Location ID: 0x14411000 / 5
> Current Available (mA): 500
> Current Required (mA): 500
> Extra Operating Current (mA): 0
It is working well in its own software (EzCap Video Capture 1.6.0), and the readme contains the following description for third party support:
> ezcap VideoGrabber and Third Party Software
> The ezcap VideoGrabber For Mac OS X software presents a standard QuickTime "Video Digitizer" interface to the system. This means that any OS X native QuickTime-savvy application that supports video digitizers will allow the digitizer to be selected and will allow video to be captured from it. Video-editing packages as well as web streaming and video-conferencing packages are examples of the kinds of applications that support video digitizers.
Is there something I must setup for this to work? Are Quicktime Video Digitizers supported in OSX OBS at all? If not is it planned?
For now I can capture footage using Window Capture from the other app, but I presume this is way less efficient than for OBS to use the digitizer directly.
Many thanks for any help or guidance on getting this resolved.
Thanks!
Tim
