Hello. I'll say from the get-go that this isn't a super major issue.
I have an i5-8250U with a UHD 620 iGPU in a laptop. I use the dGPU (MX150, so no NVENC) for gaming, and sometimes I use the iGPU to record my screen.
I can use Intel QSV for hardware accelerated encoding in H264/AVC. However, according to Wikipedia, Intel 8th Generation CPUs support hardware HEVC encoding.
However, I cannot find QSV H.265 in my OBS, and when I switch to Custom Output (ffMpeg), it doesn't show any encoders/decoders at all.
H.264 and x264 work completely fine and dropped frames and the like aren't an issue. I just want to know if I can record in hardware accelerated H.265/HEVC.
