Question / Help Quick question (regarding capture device)

I'm a little new to all this and was actually planning on making a streaming PC but I have a mac for now. Basically the only game capture card was the elgato but it seems there are alms problems there with obs multiplatform.

I'm in the market for a hdmi capture device for game console that work with windows AND MAC. Now the only one I know is elgato so if anyone could help point to a good capture card that would work well with obs multiplatform that would be awesome.

We're going to try to get support for all devices on mac if we're able. It won't be right away though. Our device support on mac is still limited.
