Question / Help Quick Question About Capture Cards

So I'm planning on getting a Elgato HD60 Pro or HD60 S and I was wondering does it make gaming/streaming on the same PC easier? I tried to stream the BFV beta a few days ago but I kept getting so much frame drops on the game. Will a capture card help with relieving the stress on my PC?

It will NOT help you performance-wise if you're capturing the same computer the card is installed in.
