I'd like to suggest a small UI change that would make a huge difference for those working with dynamic productions or IP signal retransmission.
The Problem:
Currently, to change a URL (RTMP/HLS/RTSP) or a local file in a VLC Video Source or Media Source, we need to open the source's Properties. In a fast-paced "live" environment, opening modal windows interrupts the workflow and wastes precious seconds.
The Idea:
Add an input field directly to the context toolbar (the one that appears above the source list when a source is selected).
How it would work: When selecting a media source, a "URL/Path" text field would appear there. Simply paste the link and press Enter to update.
Advantage: Total agility. Fewer clicks and a cleaner interface for operators managing multiple dynamic feeds (such as monitoring or network channels).
