Question about video source/slide show interaction

Hi all,

I'm still very new to OBS so I'm hoping you'll indulge me.

I'm trying to do a scene that includes a video and slide show elements and get them to loop. Is this possible?

So what I'd like is: 30 second slide show. (It ends) 15 second video begins. 30 second slide show. 15 second video...

is this type of interaction possible without manual changing of scenes?

I know I could do it by creating a slide show in one scene and a video in the other scene and then switching back and forth but I'm wondering if there's a way I could get them to interact nicely/

I've tried to run the slide show first, and then the video. But the slide show won't start after the video. And I've tried to start the slide show first, and the video starts at the same time, and if I turn "restart playback when source becomes active" off the video doesn't start after the slide show ends.
