Question / Help Question about microphone

I've been trying to set up OBS but the microphone is almost inaudibly quiet even at max gain filter. I can hear white noise louder than my voice. Everywhere I look people just say to turn up gain. Does anyone know what the issue is?

In Discord etc I have no issues, it's just OBS.

Go into Settings -> Audio and make sure the correct microphone is selected - you can go into Discord's "Voice and Video" section to make sure the same device is selected. Please also post a log.
