Question / Help PY vs LUA

Remark: I am VERY, VERY NEW to both OBS & Python

Is there a difference between a PY file and a LUA file?
Is One better than the other?
How do I call either from within OBS?

The questions are most likely simple for most people in this forum. Bear with me, I am very new to this.

LUA and Python are both good but I would personally advise you to python.
Python is easy to learn LUA is faster
